If you haven’t heard of Netflix, well… I’d be shocked. This ultra-popular online streaming service has often been dubbed “the future of television”. Netflix, which started as a mail-order DVD subscription service, has morphed into a media conglomerate, providing online streaming to more than 80 million people worldwide. If you’re looking for more information about Netflix, keep reading our Netflix review to learn more!
Netflix still offers a mail-in DVD service, but they’ve transitioned into a web-based streaming service primarily. Netflix plans start at just $8 a month, and provide access to hundreds of thousands of hours of top-quality content. From TV shows to movies to Netflix originals not found anywhere else, Netflix has it all (okay, except sports…). Let’s dive right into this Netflix review and explore this awesome service!
Netflix Review: What Are The Different Netflix Plans?
The above table details all the available Netflix plans, ranging from their cheapest $7.99 plan to the premium $11.99 plan. As you can see, the Netflix cost is quite reasonable, even for the premium plan.
Key details to note on the difference between plans include the number of screens you can use at once, as well as the availability of HD content. Unless you really don’t care about HD, I’d recommend going with at least the standard plan, so you can enjoy shows and movies in HD.
Also of note, there is a Netflix free trial available for all these different plans. It’s also really easy to upgrade/downgrade when you want, so if you sign up for one Netflix plan and later decide to change to a different one, you can easily do that.
How Much Does Netflix Cost?
Many people wonder how much Netflix costs, and the answer is this: a lot less than it should! Considering the tremendous amount of content available on Netflix, this service is bargain-priced in my opinion.
The Netflix price is anywhere from $8 to $12 a month, as detailed above. Also, keep in mind that those costs are just for the streaming service – if you’re interested in the DVD plans, those cost extra with plans starting at $4.99 a month.
Also of note is the fact that Netflix is no-contract. That means you can sign up for a month, and cancel if you don’t like it. No need to lock in to a long-term contract, which is just one of the many advantages of Netflix over cable.
What Devices Can I Use Netflix On?
As the largest and one of the oldest streaming services out there, Netflix devices are aplenty! Pretty much suffice it to say that if you can watch any sort of video on the device, you can watch Netflix on the device. Read any Netflix review and you can quickly see that device compatibility is never really an issue when it comes to Netflix.
Netflix devices include mobile devices, computers, laptops, smart TVs, streaming players, gaming consoles, and much more. Netflix tends to stay on the cutting-edge of the device world, maintaining compatibility with all the latest devices and developing very functional, sleek apps for just about every device out there.
What Are the Netflix Original Series?
In addition to thousands of hit TV shows and movies, Netflix also offers Netflix Original Series. These are shows that are produced in-house. Yeah, you read that right: Netflix is now a full-blown production company.
Netflix Original Series are just like any TV show, except that they are exclusively available on Netflix. You can’t watch them on cable, you can’t even buy them on DVD – they are only available on Netflix’s streaming platform
There are quite a few Netflix Original Series, ranging from dramedies like Orange is the New Black to comedies like Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt to hard-hitting dramas like House of Cards. There are now more than 50 Netflix Original Series!
In addition to the series they offer, Netflix Originals also offers exclusive stand-up comedy specials, documentaries, and feature-length films. All in, there are several hundred different programs, movies, specials and shows available exclusively on Netflix. Wowza.
Are There Any Netflix Special Offers?
If you’re wondering about any unique Netflix offers, the only thing they really offer is a free 30-day trial. This is no magic free Netflix account, but it is a nice way to try out the full service before spending a dime. This Netflix free trial is available for any of their plans, so you can try out the full experience for free. After 30 days, you will be billed monthly for the plan you selected. If you don’t want to keep the service, simply cancel the free trial before the 30 days is up!
Can You Get a Free Netflix Account?
Forever? Nope. For 30 days? Sure can! Click here to start your free 30-day trial of Netflix!
