Watch Soccer Online: The Complete Live Stream Guide

As a cord cutter in the US, there are plenty of ways to watch soccer online, including popular events like Copa America 2016, International Champions Cup,  and Euro 2016. However, with so many leagues and so many streaming options, it can be frustrating to find exactly what you’re looking for…especially if you’re looking for legal live streams. That’s why I have put together the ultimate guide to watching soccer online without cable TV.

Click the links below to get detailed information on how to watch your favorite soccer club or international competition, no cable TV subscription required! You can also check out our guides for some of your favorite teams, including Arsenal, Barcelona, Manchester United, and Real Madrid.

Major League Soccer (MLS)

watch mls onlineIf you’re in the U.S. searching for how to watch soccer online, there’s a good chance you’re trying to find MLS. Thankfully, there are plenty of ways to watch MLS without cable. The first way is Sling TV, which gives you ESPN, ESPN2 and access to the WatchESPN app (which will allow you to see ESPN3 content) in the Best of Live TV package for only $20 a month with no contract. For $5 extra, you can add the Sports Extra package which gives you Univision Deportes and ESPNews, which give you additional coverage.

T-Mobile customers get an even sweeter deal. Sling TV has a special offer just for T-Mobile subscribers– save 30% each month for up to 12 months on a Sling TV basic package subscription, and stream all of the Sling TV you’d like with T-Mobile’s Binge On feature. You can still cancel at anytime without any fees.

Sling TV has also recently started carrying FS1, FS2, regional FOX Sports networks, and the local FOX affiliates (select markets) in its new multi-stream beta package, which is also $20 a month and carries over 30 popular channels (note: ESPN is not in the beta package). You can either sign up for just the multi-stream, beta package or add it to your Best of Live TV package for $20 a month. Click here to try it free for 7 days.

FOX also has rights to some of the MLS games. You can watch all of those games online with their soccer streaming service. Check out my complete FOX Soccer 2Go review here.

Another MLS streaming option is fuboTV. This soccer streaming service carries a number of live channels, including Univision Deportes, Univision Network, and UniMas, giving you access to live MLS coverage in Spanish. fuboTV is just $6.99 a month and also gives you access to live soccer from a number of other leagues. Click here to get a free 24-hour trial.

And finally, you can watch MLS games all season on MLS Live for $74.99. However, please note that blackouts do apply.

English Premier League

watch premier league onlineNBC owns the rights to broadcast all English Premier League matches in the US. That’s great news for cord cutters, because Sling TV and PlayStation Vue carry NBCSN and other NBC channels, making it easy to watch EPL online without cable.

Sling TV allows you to get a ton of EPL coverage on the NBC networks with its $25 a month Blue package. This channel lineup comes with over 40 popular channels, including NBCSN, and there’s no contract, so you can cancel anytime. It’s the cheapest way to live stream EPL in the US.

An antenna is also a great way to watch some EPL games free. NBC’s over-the-air broadcast network airs about 20 matches a year on Saturdays at 12:30 PM EST. The best part is, they’re free. All you need is a good antenna to pick them up in HD.

If you don’t mind watching in Spanish, you can also check out Telemundo. The popular Spanish-speaking network often airs a match a week on Sundays at 11 am EST. Another great option for antenna users looking to watch free in HD.

La Liga (Spain)

watch la liga onlineMany people would argue that La Liga trumps even the great English Premier League as the best soccer league in the world. If you’re of that mindset, then you’ll be happy to know that you can catch all the action on fuboTV, Sling International, and Sling TV.

If you want to watch La Liga online, fuboTV is another good option. Available in both the United States and Canada, this streaming service offers a free 24-hour trial and is only $6.99 per month thereafter. Click here for my complete review of fuboTV.

Sling International is only $10 per month, and gives you complete access to beIN Sports and beIN SPORTS en Espanol just like fuboTV, the station with La Liga rights in the US. If you sign up now, you can watch La Liga online with a 30-day trial for free.

Your other option, Sling TV, is a more all-around cord cutter solution. To get beIN, you need to sign up for the basic package along with the Sports Extra package. You’ll also get lots of popular channels like AMC, HGTV, Food Network, TNT, CNN, TBS, and more. Try it free now for 7 days to stream La Liga soccer along with popular TV for the entire family.
