Created by and starring comedian Marc Maron, Maron is a television show that follows the comedian’s life as he recovers from a life of being an angry, drunk mess who only cared about himself. But when a podcast he does in his garage becomes popular and he dedicates himself to a life of sobriety, his life starts to turn around. Maron is a fictionalized version of Marc’s life, but the parallels between his own career and relationships aren’t hard to see. Critics have called Maron “brutally funny” and “absolutely compelling.” A new season starts May 4 at 9 p.m., so be sure to check this show out if you’re a fan of “real life” comedy. If you’re trying to watch Maron online, here’s how.

Watch Maron Streaming Live With Sling TV

Maron streaming

Since Maron airs on IFC (what used to be the Independent Film Channel), Sling TV is going to be by far your easiest option to watch Maron online. Sling TV (you can read our full review here) is a streaming TV service that offers a wide range of cable channels streaming live to almost any device for just $20 a month with no contract – way cheaper than any cable package. IFC is a part of Sling TV’s basic lineup, so you’ll have a Maron live stream as long as you tune in when it airs. Sling TV currently has a free 7 day trial offer running, so you can test out the service for free to see if you like it. If you choose to sign on with Sling, there’s never been a better time to sign up. Join now, and you’ll get a Roku 2 absolutely free when you sign up for three months. Since a Roku 2 costs about $70 retail, it’s like getting a Roku for $10 off the regular price and three free months of Sling.

If you’re a T-Mobile customer, there’s also a great promotion running right now: 30% off Sling TV’s base package. That makes the price just $14 a month, and that price is good for up to 12 months.  And with T-Mobile’s “Binge On” feature, any content you stream from Sling TV on your mobile device doesn’t count towards your  data plan.

To get started, sign up for Sling TV’s 7-day free trial — this will allow you to watch Maron online free for the full 7 days before your paid subscription kicks in.

Watch the Maron Live Stream With Playstation Vue

Maron live stream

PlayStation Vue is another live streaming service that lets you watch TV as it airs, streaming to any mobile device (read our full review). Vue service is available nationwide, so if you’re watching when the show is on, you’ll have Maron streaming live. In the majority of cities, Vue service doesn’t include live local networks, but has shows from NBC, ABC, CBS, and Fox on demand the next day. Seven major cities have live local TV though. IFC is a part of Vue’s Core Package, which starts at $34.99 a month. You will need a PS3 orPS4, an iPad, an Amazon Fire TV device, or a Chromecast to use Vue. There is just one major caveat with PlayStation Vue: it won’t really work outside of your home network. So as long as you’re fine with just watching at home, Vue is an excellent option.

Purchase Maron Full Episodes Individually

If you just want to watch a few Maron full episodes, there’s always the option of just buying them from Amazon Instant Video or Vudu. Episodes will be available 24 hours after they air. Just be aware that single episodes cost about $3. You are owning them permanently, but once you buy just a few episodes, you’re paying what you would for a month of streaming from another service (which gives you access to all the Maron streaming you can handle, plus thousands of other shows).

Watch Maron Online with Netflix

Netflix is the most popular streaming video service by far, and they do have past seasons of Maron available. So if you’re looking to catch up, this is certainly an option. But new season won’t be available for several months after they air, so it’s not a great way to keep current. Netflix offers three tiers of subscriptions, with prices that start at just $7.99 a month.

This is the fourth season of Maron, so there’s a lot to catch up on if you haven’t started watching yet.
