CBS All Access and Showtime Available Together As $15 bundle

If you’re a subscriber to CBS All Access, you got some good news today. The streaming video service now offers a $15 combined digital bundle for both All Access and Showtime.

There’s an $18.99 a month plan available with no ads, but it’s worth noting that Showtime is commercial free either way (so your choice is watching limited commercials on CBS All Access, or paying about $1 a week to make them go away).

A CBS All Access subscription actually includes CBS live in certain cities and on-demand access to the network’s current hits and older programming 24/7. Showtime works much the same way, except the live stream is available in all markets. Plenty of on-demand shows and movies are included there as well.

All Access service is usually just under $6 a month with ads or $9.99 for the ad free version, while Showtime’s streaming video service is about $10.99 a month. So a quick look at the numbers shows this package doesn’t amount to a huge savings – less than $5 actually. But, that’s a few dollars in your pocket rather than CBS’.

This package makes the most sense for people who are already wither CBS or Showtime subscribers and want to add on a little more content for a low price. Monthly subscriptions for multiple streaming services can pile up quickly, so a chance to save is always welcome.

But if you’re interested in both CBS and Showtime content, it’s worth looking in to either PlayStation Vue or Hulu television service. CBS is live on several of those, and Showtime is available as a premium add on. And with the basic plans for those services, you’re not paying a whole lot more than $25 or $30 a month.
