DC’s New Streaming Service to Feature an Animated Harley Quinn Show

Fans of Margo Robbie in Suicide Squad will be excited to hear that last week DC announced it would be releasing a new Harley Quinn animated series.

Back in April, DC shared it would be launching its own digital streaming service sometime in 2018 with its own slew of original shows, including a live action Titans show and an animated revival of Young Justice. That makes Harley Quinn the third streaming-exclusive show DC has announced.

As of right now, details about the show are a bit murky, but we do know that the series will focus on a Harley Quinn who has broken things off with the Joker. We also know that the show will be headed by Powerless executive producers Justin Halpern, Patrick Shumacker, and Dean Lorey.

As far as who will voice the Queen of Crime, it’s rumored that Halpern, Schumacker, and Lorey have Margo Robbie at the top of their wish list. But it’s also not out of the question that veteran voice actress Tara Strong may reprise her performance as Harley Quinn from the Batman: Arkham City video game.

Is a Margo Robbie–headed Harley Quinn animated series enough for you to subscribe to yet another streaming service? Let us know in the comments, and be sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter for more cord-cutting updates.
