Back in November and December of last year, FXX aired every single Simpsons episode in a marathon that lasted almost two weeks. If you missed out on that though, you’re in luck now… because you can have your own Simpsons marathon with Sling TV.
A new deal with FXX means that Sling Blue subscribers now have on demand access to every single episode (over 600) in the shows first 27 season catalog. The current season and the two future seasons agreed on so far, will be available on demand through Fox.
Currently the longest running scripted TV show in American history, The Simpsons is a cultural icon to say the least. If you look at the series, Sling said, it’s “easy to see why it remains one of the longest running, beloved and quotable pieces of pop culture.”
Not familiar with Sling TV? Read our review to get the basic rundown. If you’re paying for cable, you should be aware of this service, though. It’s an alternative TV service that gets you the same channel lineup as cable, but costs much, much less. In fact, the basic package is just $20 a month, and gets you 30 channels live. Of course, you can upgrade to a bigger package of channels if you want.
To celebrate, Sling created a list of their favorite episodes from each season. Naturally, the pilot episode, “Simpsons Roasting on an Open Fire” was the selection from the first season, but if you look over the list, you’ll see fan favorites like “Milhouse Doesn’t Live Here Anymore,” “Future-Drama,” “Marge’s Son Poisoning,” “Dial ‘N’ for Nerder,” and “Homer the Father.”
Sling actually does have a 7 day free trial available if you’re interested in checking out how it works. That’s not enough time to stream all the episodes, but if you’re a fan of The Simpsons, it’ll give you a great start.
