Sling TV Ups Its Value as an À La Carte Streaming Provider with More Premium Add-Ons

sling tvSling TV prides itself on offering something for everyone. That’s now truer than ever before, as Sling TV announced yesterday that science lovers, Spanish movie aficionados, and fans of Christian TV programming can now sign up for CuriosityStream, PANTAYA, and/or UP Faith & Family add-ons within its service.

Sling TV has long operated on the idea that customers shouldn’t have to pay for channels they won’t ever watch. Consequently, the service offers two low-cost base packages (Sling Orange and Sling Blue) that include a minimal selection of popular channels. From there, customers can select more specific channel add-ons to customize their service and get exactly what they want without paying for extra.

With PANTAYA, CuriosityStream, and UP Faith & Family add-ons, Sling TV brings 3,000 more unique titles in new genres to its already impressive library of 50,000 programs.

Ankit Bishnoi, Sling TV’s vice president of content acquisition and strategy, said concerning the deal , “We are committed to providing our customers with the most flexible programming options at the best value. The à la carte additions of CuriosityStream, UP Faith & Family, and PANTAYA to our robust on-demand catalogue ensures that the diverse interests of our customers are met.”

These additions also help set Sling TV apart from other streaming services, which do not yet offer these channels.

If you’re interested in these extras, you’ll first need a Sling Orange, Sling Blue, Spanish-language, or International base package. Each add-on package will cost an extra $5 per month on top of your base package rate.
