Obviously, all Royals fans expect a World Series this season so you cannot miss out on watching any of the action all year long. There are plenty of options to watch the Royals online or streaming and the below guide covers all of them. Read on to figure out your best option to watch a Royals live stream the entire season.
Stream Royals Games Online with fuboTV
With a service like fuboTV, you can watch tons of live sports online, including many KC Royals game live streams. This service is designed specifically with sports fans in mind, offering 40+ channels (mostly sports-related) for $35 per month–with no contract!
Right now, fuboTV is best for fans who live in the Kansas City area, because it provides FOX Sports Kansas City to locals. This network will cover most Royals games, all season long. If you don’t live in the area, you can still catch some games on FS1. Plus, fuboTV provides nice high-definition streams and a cloud DVR–two features that will make your game-watching experience even better. You can learn more in our fuboTV review.
Use Sling TV to Watch the Kansas City Royals Online
Sling TV is another great option for cable alternatives and will certainly be a valuable way to watch the Royals online. It only costs $20 per month for Sling TV’s basic package, and you get more than 30 cable channels available to you for live streaming. You can watch a Royals live stream on your computer, phone, tablet, or directly on your big screen with devices like Roku or Chromecast. You can even get a Roku device for free if you subscribe to three months of Sling TV!
For local fans, we recommend signing up for Sling Blue ($25/month) This package includes 40+ channels, including FOX Sports Kansas City, which airs many Royals games. That means, if you live in the KC area and subscribe to Sling Blue, you’ll get access to nearly every KC Royals game live stream of the season.
For non-local fans, Sling Orange ($20/month) will suffice. Sling TV’s (review) basic package (Sling Orange) includes channels like TBS, TNT, ESPN, ESPN2, CNN, AMC, and several others. TBS owns broadcast rights for one of the Wild Card games, two Divisional playoff series, and a League Championship series. And, TBS broadcasts Sunday afternoon games the last thirteen weeks of the season. ESPN, on the other hand, broadcasts up to 90 games throughout the season including Monday, Wednesday, and Sunday night coverage.
Watch Royals Games Online with DIRECTV NOW
DIRECTV NOW will provide another good method to watch the Kansas City Royals online. It provides essentially the same MLB channels as Sling TV, with the addition of MLB Network. You’ll want to go with the Just Right package, which will run you $50 per month. That includes FS1, ESPN, MLB Network, TBS, and even FOX in some areas. Additionally, Kansas City area residents will get FOX Sports Kansas City, for even more Royals streaming!
DIRECTV NOW works on most devices, and is available without a contract. Check out our DIRECTV NOW review to learn more.
Watch The Royals Online with PlayStation Vue
You can also subscribe to PlayStation Vue to watch a Royals live stream since several important channels are included. We recommend the Core package, which is $35 per month, because it provides FOX Sports Kansas City (for local fans), as well as FS1, MLB Network, ESPN, TBS and much more.
You can watch a Kansas City Royals live stream on your iPhone, iPad, PS3/PS4, Android device, or on your TV with Amazon Fire TV, Roku, Apple TV, or Chromecast. In some regions you can even get access to local FOX channels which will be broadcasting MLB games during the regular season. Find out more about PlayStation Vue in our full review.
Stream MLB Games with MLB.TV
MLB.TV has been around for several years now and is a popular service for MLB fans to watch tons of baseball online. This is just one more way to watch the Kansas City Royals online as well, since every game from all 30 MLB teams is available on the service. There are local blackouts though, so if you are in the Kansas City area you’ll likely be blocked from viewing the Royals. If you just want to pay to watch the Royals online it is $87.49 per year and to watch all 30 MLB teams it is $112.99 for the whole season.
