Billions is an intense Showtime original focusing on high and mighty investment firm owner Bobby Axelrod (played by Damian Lewis), a billionaire with questionable business practices. His reign on top of the world is threatened by U.S. District Attorney Chuck Rhoades (played by Paul Giamatti), and the two are set on a collision course filled with power, intrigue and suspense. Ready to watch? We’ll show you how to watch Billions online in the guide below.
Billions is returning to Showtime on Sunday nights at 10:00 p.m. ET. You’ll need to have access to Showtime in order to watch it legally – but don’t worry, that doesn’t mean you need to have cable! We’ll show you how to watch Billions full episodes from home, without cable TV.
Watch Billions Online with Showtime via Amazon Prime Instant Video
Currently, Amazon Prime Instant Video offers one of the easiest ways to access Showtime online, and therefore the easiest way to watch a Billions live stream at your convenience. If you’re unfamiliar with the service, you can read more about it in our full review of Amazon Instant Video.
Basically, Instant Video comes as a side benefit to the full-featured Amazon Prime membership. For $99 a year, you can sign up for Prime and get free 2-day shipping from Amazon, access to thousands of TV shows, movies and more with Amazon Instant Video, access to a free music streaming service, and so much more.
As if Amazon Instant Video didn’t already offer enough, recently Amazon announced that you can now add premium channels to your subscription at a discounted rate! This includes Showtime, which means you can add Showtime to your Prime subscription and further expand your viewing options, as well as consolidate your streaming services.
This is the current best way to watch Billions online if you already have a Prime subscription.
Amazon Prime offers tremendous value. If you’re wondering how you can save the most money, here’s your best game plan:
If you’re a current Amazon Prime Subscriber – go to Amazon add-on subscriptions page and add on Showtime for just $8.99 per month. You should be able to score a free 7-day trial, as well, giving you an opportunity to watch a few Billions free episodes before the trial is up.
If you’re new to Amazon Prime – sign up for a free 30-day trial of Amazon Prime and a free 7-day trial of Showtime. After the 30-day trial is up, you will be billed $99 for the year. After the 7-day Showtime trial is up, you’ll be billed an additional $8.99 per month. $99 a year might seem steep, but keep in mind that’s only $8.25 per month. Plus, don’t forget all the incredible benefits of Prime: Instant Video, free 2-day shipping, free music streaming, free Kindle eBooks, and so much more!
Catch a Billions Live Stream with PlayStation Vue!
An actual streaming service that you can use to watch Billions is Sony’s PlayStation Vue service. If you want to go this route, you have a few options to choose from: You can get Showtime as a standalone channel for $10.99 a month, you can add it to an existing subscription, or you can sign up for their premium Ultra package.
Ultra gets you 90 channels, including HBO, Showtime, and sports channels, all for $65 a month. That figure may look large on its own, but when compared to a cable subscription with the same channels included, it’s actually quite low.
PlayStation Vue works on most streaming devices, smart tvs, and now computers. Although you are limited to watching within your home network, you can watch Billions on as many devices as you want throughout the house.
There are no contracts or extra fees, and you can cancel at any time. If you would like to give Vue a try, you can find a free trial here. Or, if some more information is needed before you go ahead, here is our review you can read.
Watch Billions Online with the Showtime Streaming App
Showtime now offers their own dedicated streaming app. It’s available on many devices, including Roku, Amazon Fire TV, iOS devices and android devices, with support for additional devices coming soon. You can subscribe to Showtime for $10.99 per month, which is a pretty good deal considering all the content you get.
The Showtime app will let you watch Billions live stream & on demand, plus all the other great content that Showtime offers. It’s a good option if you’re not an Amazon Prime subscriber. Showtime is cheaper through Prime, but if you don’t think you’ll use your Prime benefits much, the standalone Showtime app is a good choice.
Watch Billions Full Episodes via Showtime on Hulu
If you’re a Hulu subscriber, you can add Showtime to your subscription for an extra $8.99 per month. You should be able to snag a free 7-day trial, letting you watch a few Billions free episodes before the trial is up. After the trial, you’ll pay $8.99 per month for Showtime, plus whatever you’re already paying for Hulu (which depends on your plan).
Honestly, Amazon Prime offers a lot more value in this case – and is a bit cheaper. But, if you’re already a Hulu subscriber and enjoy it, it’s easy to add Showtime to expand your viewing options.
