If you have kids, or if you spend any time hanging out with them, you’ve probably watched the Disney Channel at some point. It’s got Phineas and Ferb, Austin and Ally, the fantastic Girl Meets World (which appeals to the 90’s nostalgia in all of us), as well as a number of original Disney Channel movies. If you no longer have cable, you may be wondering how to watch the Disney Channel online.
If you’re looking to enjoy all of the family-friendly programming of Disney Channel without having to deal with an expensive cable package or sketchy streaming links, you’re in luck. Now, there are some great legal ways you can watch Disney Channel online at a fraction of the cost of cable TV. Read on for my complete Disney Channel live stream guide.

Sling TV Gives You Disney Channel Live Stream
For those unfamiliar with the magic of Sling TV, it’s a streaming service that lets you watch the TV stations and shows you like whenever, wherever (check out my review here). You can watch a great selection of popular pay TV channels on your computer, mobile device, or TV using a streaming player — all starting at just $20 a month with no contract and no hidden fees.
Where Sling TV differs from the other streaming services is its live stream. You can watch live broadcasts of select channels (including, of course, a Disney Channel live stream) as they air, rather than waiting for full seasons to be added months later. They also have great on-demand selections for many of their channels, including Disney. The Disney Channel on-demand library is updated regularly with fresh, new content, so there’s always something great to watch.
So, using Sling TV you can easily watch Disney Channel online, either live or on demand. With the service, you can watch Disney Channel on Apple TV, Roku, Chromecast, Amazon Fire TV, Xbox One, computers, mobile devices, and more.
Sling TV is currently offering a 7-day free trial. This is a great way to take Sling TV for a test drive and see how you like it. At the end of the 7 days, it’s your choice whether or not you want to keep the service. You can click here for more information about the free 7-day trial.
Right now, Sling TV also has another great limited-time deal going. When you sign up for 3 months of service, you can get a FREE Roku 2 for your TV. Or, choose a steep discount on an Apple TV. Both of these streaming devices are highly rated and will let you watch Disney Channel online on Sling TV right on your television. The Roku streaming devices also carry over 2,000 other streaming apps, including Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Instant Video, and more. Please note that these deals do change from time to time, but you can click on the link to be taken to the most recent offer.
Looking for even further savings? If you’re a customer of T-Mobile, you’re in luck. For up to 12 months, T-Mobile customers can now get the Sling Orange package for just $14/month (that’s 30% savings!). You can now stream Disney Channel and any other channels that Sling TV has to offer for no extra charge thanks to T-Mobile’s Binge On, and you can even cancel at anytime at no extra cost.
Which Disney Shows Are Available?
With Sling TV, you can watch Disney Channel online and enjoy every show as it airs live. Many shows are also available for viewing on demand, after they’ve aired. That means you can watch Dog With A Blog, The Ant Farm, and even Hannah Montana live streaming and on demand. There are also the classic original Disney Channel movies like Camp Rock and the newer fare: Bad Hair Day. Note that the on-demand library is updated regularly, so the selection is always changing.
Can I Watch Disney XD and Disney Junior?
Can’t get enough Disney Channel content? Don’t worry, Sling TV has you covered. Both Disney Junior and Disney XD come in Sling’s Kids Extra pack of channels for an additional $5 a month. The Kids Extra pack lets you watch Disney XD, Disney Junior, Boomerang, Baby TV, and Duck TV. That’s a lot of entertainment your kids will love for just $5 extra a month. You can find out more about the Kids Extra package here.
What Other Channels Can You Get with Sling TV?
Don’t worry, Sling TV isn’t just for your kids’ TV fix. They carry the popular channels like AMC, TNT, TBS, Food Network, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, CNN, HGTV, and many others. Obsessed with movies? Check out all of the top hits from IFC and SundanceTV.
For all of the sports fans out there, Sling TV is awesome. The basic Sling TV package gives you the ability to watch ESPN online and ESPN2. There is also a Sports Extra package that includes the SEC Network, ESPN Bases Loaded, ESPN Buzzer Beater, ESPN Goal Line, ESPNews, Univision Deportes, and beIN Sports.
Sling offers several different packages, with 25+ channels in the basic Sling Orange package ranging up to 100+ channels when you add the add-on packages. Prices start at just $20 a month, with no contract!
What Other Streaming Services Let You Watch Disney Channel Online?
PlayStation Vue also offers Disney Channel live streaming in its basic package. Vue costs a bit more than Sling TV, with prices starting at $30 a month. Still, compared to cable, it’s quite a bargain. Vue offers 55+ channels in its basic package, with much more available in the larger packages. With Vue, you can watch Disney Channel on Roku, Chromecast, PS3/PS4, iPhone, and a few more devices. Check out our PlayStation Vue review for more info.
Looking for other ways to watch Disney Channel content online? There is always Netflix, which you can use to watch select Disney shows on demand. Of course, Netflix doesn’t offer live streaming. It’s on-demand content, and in most cases, Disney Channel shows aren’t added until several months after they have already aired. You may be able to rent some Disney Channel movies and shows on Amazon Instant Video, iTunes, and VUDU at some point after they have aired on TV.
Doesn’t the Watch Disney Service Have All of This?
Disney has its own version of a streaming service called Watch Disney, but it’s not available for cord cutters. To access this streaming service, you have to sign in using a cable TV provider login, so there’s no way to access it legally, without a cable contract. However, Sling TV will give you the same Disney Channel live stream and much of the same on-demand episodes of hit shows and Disney Channel movies that this service offers.
