One of the first reality competition series to air on Food Network was Food Network Star. Chefs from around the country who want their own cooking show compete in a series of cooking challenges and competitions. The final three each have their own cooking demo, which will determine which of the three will be the next Food Network star. The prize is their very own cooking show on Food Network. Ready to watch Food Network Star online? We’re about to tell you how!
Food Network Star is coming back for a new season on June 4 at 9 p.m. ET. If you don’t have cable, you’ve come to the right place. Whether you’re hoping to watch Food Network Star online free or you’re looking for some low-cost alternatives to cable, we have included all of the ways that you’ll be able to watch Food Network Star online.
Watch Food Network Star Online with DIRECTV NOW
DIRECTV NOW is a fantastic option if you’re looking to watch Food Network Star online without a cable subscription. This service is still pretty new, so we expect that they will continue to bring additional features and packages to the table, but even at the moment, DIRECTV NOW is a strong contender. Starting at $35 per month, you can get more than 60 channels with this streaming service! And across all their packages, DIRECTV NOW offers over 120 channels total. Even though this service is a tad pricier than Sling and Vue, it offers a wide selection of programming for the whole family (if that’s something you’re looking for). Check out all the DIRECTV NOW packages in our review to see if there’s one that speaks to you.
One thing we really like about this streaming service is its user-friendly streaming guide. It’s a lot like old-school cable guide, which makes it very easy for first-time cable-cutters to navigate. Keep in mind, this is a streaming service; there’s no satellite at all.
If you want to watch Food Network Star online free, we suggest using the free 7-day trial. This way, you can catch the action while testing out DIRECTV NOW. Plus, this service isn’t brought down by mobile restrictions (like Vue is), so you can stream on-the-go with ease.
Grab your free weeklong trial to stream Food Network Star free of charge for a week.
With Sling TV Get a Food Network Star Live Stream
Sling TV is an excellent live stream service that is a great replacement for cable. You receive 20 popular cable channels and an on-demand library for just $20 a month. The service comes with channels like AMC, A&E, Food Network, TBS, and many others. If you’re new to Sling TV, you can sign up for a 7-day trial. You can watch Sling TV on a variety of devices and if you miss a show, you can find it the day after it airs in the on-demand library.
Sling TV is also an attractive streaming option for those cord-cutters who love a deal. (Honestly, who doesn’t You can see all the current deals right here.love a good deal?!) Every now and then, Sling offers sign-up incentives (usually a free streaming device or other discounted product) that you can take advantage of simply by subscribing to a certain length of service.
Watch the Food Network Star Live Stream on PlayStation Vue
PlayStation Vue is also a live stream service. Offering 60 channels for $29.99 a month and an on-demand library, Vue (review) offers a diverse lineup of channels, and with no contracts, you can cancel at any time. You receive channels like Food Network, Bravo, A&E, and ESPN. Even though PS Vue is more expensive than Sling, we like to think of it as a great option for a family with a lot of different taste in TV. You also get local channels in several metro areas, with more being added soon! The starting cost for these areas is $39.99 per month because you’re getting live streaming. If you’re not in one of these areas, the content arrives in your on-demand library the day after it airs on TV, which isn’t bad at all!
You don’t need to be a PlayStation user to have this streaming service. You can watch Vue on your PlayStation consoles, iPad or iPhone, Chromecast, Roku, Apple TV, or Amazon Fire TV. If you’re a fan of mobile viewing, Vue might be a bit problematic for you. PlayStation ties you to your home location, which means that if you’re out of the home you won’t be able to watch all of your shows.
However, if you’re worried about missing your shows while out and about, Vue does have a solution. Their cloud DVR is an attractive feature, allowing you to save recorded events and shows up to 28 days. Our favorite part of this feature is the fact that it’s all cloud-based and thus doesn’t add any bulky devices to your TV setup.
If you’re interested in seeing if Vue is for you, there is a 5-day trial you can use to test out the service and watch Food Network Star online free at the same time.

It’s available on pretty much every device and gives you a huge database of current and past hit TV shows–so you’ll have plenty more to watch after you catch up on Food Network Star streaming.
