Horror comedies are kind of a thing right now. Ryan Murphy is responsible for Scream Queens, now in its second season, and STARZ created a masterpiece with Ash Vs. Evil Dead. So, we weren’t surprised when IFC announced that they would be premiering a show called Stan Against Evil on November 2 at 10 p.m. ET.
The new show stars John C. McGinley, who you might recognized from the cult hit Scrubs, and comedian Janet Varney.
Can you watch Stan Against Evil online if you don’t have cable? You sure can, and here’s how!
Stream Stan Against Evil on Sling TV
IFC is offered as part of Sling TV’s basic package. And, for that reason and so much more, our go-to recommendation is Sling TV. Not only will you be able to watch Stan Against Evil full episodes live when they air, but you’ll also get all of these other hard to find channels:
- BBC America
- Adult Swim
- Freeform (formerly ABC Family)
You can watch the Stan Against Evil live stream and also keep watching favorite shows like Vikings, Orphan Black, and Rick and Morty. And don’t forget Freeform’s 13 Days of Halloween and 25 Days of Christmas events every year.
This Sling TV package is only $20 per month, making it extremely affordable. And there is no contract, so you can cancel at any time. You get the live streaming content of all the channels plus some on demand content when available. You can watch on a variety of the most popular devices including your computer and smart phones. Plus, popular players like Xbox and Chromecast. They also often have exclusive deals on Roku and Apple TV, so click to learn more.
They also have a special promotion for T-Mobile customers right now. As we are writing this, customers can get 30% off the Best of Live TV base package, which comes to just $14 per month. Pricing is good for up to one year and there is still no contract. What makes this even better is T-Mobile’s Binge On feature, so you can stream Sling TV from your mobile device without tapping into your data plan.
Watch Stan Against Evil Live Stream on PlayStation Vue
PlayStation Vue is another streaming service available in today’s market. It has many of the same benefits, but some differences. But it does have IFC, so you can watch the Stan Against Evil stream when it premiers live. Like Sling TV, Vue also has a number of other networks so you can watch many of your favorite programs without cable.
PlayStation Vue starts as low as $29.99 per month for the basic plan. Or, in cities where live, local channels are available, the base price is $39.99 a month. NBC, ABC, FOX, and CBS are only available live in 7 cities right now including Chicago, New York, and Los Angeles.
You can stream Vue on PS3/PS4 consoles, iOS and Android mobile devices, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, and Chromecast. They do not have support for Apple TV at this time.
But PlayStation Vue does have some significant limitations. Your account is tied to your home location, so even with the iPhone app, streaming while away from home will be restricted.
Is Stan Against Evil on Hulu?
In researching whether or not Stan Against Evil would be available on Hulu, we didn’t find much. Hulu does often have IFC shows, like Portlandia, but often after the complete season has aired. So, we’ll have to suggest that the answer is “maybe?” But Hulu has a lot of other benefits. It is the premier on-demand streaming service available right now. And for only $7.99 a month, it is super affordable. That is for the version with limited commercials, but you can choose to pay $11.99 instead and skip advertisements all together.
There is a huge library of current and past shows from many broadcast networks and pay TV networks. They also have several Hulu originals that are worth watching. And they do get many shows during the season the day or several days after they air. It is also available on just about every streaming device, so there is no excuse not to check it out.
Is Stan Against Evil on Amazon Prime?
You will be able to stream Stan Against Evil on Amazon Instant Video, but for a price. It won’t be available on Amazon Prime for free while it is still airing on IFC. However, many shows make the transition to Amazon Prime after the complete season airs, so stay tuned for more details.
Prime is worth it for a variety of reasons, not the least of which is the free 2-day shipping on countless items from the site. It’ll pay for itself around the holidays in no time. It also has a huge library of streaming video content, including all of the past HBO shows. And you can do add on pay TV subscriptions that can be integrated to your Prime video streaming. Showtime and Starz are available.
Amazon Prime is just $99 per year. Or, you can subscribe to the video streaming service only for $8.99 per month. For the full prime membership, it’s only $10.99 for the month price.
Is Stan Against Evil on Netflix?
Netflix is a tricky thing. While they currently have a number of original, binge-worthy, shows available, most of their television content doesn’t appear until after the seasons have aired on their respective networks. And, many times, the most recent season doesn’t show up until the new season is ready to premier. Though, that is changing in some cases.
So the long story short about Stan Against Evil streaming on Netflix is also, “maybe?” Netflix does have a number of IFC shows, including Portlandia and Documentary Now, so we have no reason to believe Stan Against Evil wont’ be available at some point in the future.
Netflix is the most popular streaming service in the U.S. and maybe people are happy to wait until a complete season is available so they can watch it in one lump sum rather than weekly like old-school network TV. The price is monthly and there are three tiers of subscriptions. Details are available at the website. And it works with pretty much any device, so it is totally worth it.
