Everything is available live at the same time as it goes on air, plus there’s a rotating selection of on-demand content available.

The basic package does not include ABC, but you can add it as part of the Broadcast Extra package for an additional $5 a month. Note: ABC live stream through Sling TV is currently only available in the following markets: Chicago, Fresno-Visalia, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Philadelphia, Raleigh-Durham, and San Francisco.

There’s no contract, so you don’t need to commit to more than a month. If you don’t live in one of those select markets, you can still subscribe to Sling TV, but you won’t be able to get ABC.

Watch The Oscars Online from Oscars.com

The official Oscars website will offer the Oscars live stream on the official website. It will be free, but unfortunately, it requires a cable TV authentication/log-in, and it’s only available in select cities. Which means, you’ll need a cable subscription to go this route. Still, it’s useful if you already have cable but just won’t be at home during the ceremony. You can use your cable login to access the Academy Awards live stream from anywhere with an Internet connection.

Watch Live with an Antenna

Not in a market that receives ABC via live stream? Then you need to turn to the antenna. Yes, that’s right. They still work! In most areas, you’ll be able to receive ABC in HD for free over the airways. I recommend the Mohu Leaf 50 as my favorite antenna for the average viewer. For more info, check out my antenna guide here.
