Update: Looking to watch the 2016 Wimbledon final online for free? Live stream it with a Sling TV trial here.
Wimbledon 2016 gets underway on June 27 and runs through July 10. The most popular tennis tournament in the world will feature the sport’s biggest superstars you all know and love. It’s an exciting time of the year for tennis fans, and we are as excited as you are for the tournament to begin! This year (and every year through 2023), Wimbledon will be broadcast on the ESPN family of networks, but if you don’t have cable, don’t worry — you can watch a legal Wimbledon live stream without needing cable TV.
Based on the current TV schedule available at press time, I’ve outlined everything you need to watch Wimbledon online for the next two weeks.
Watch Wimbledon Live Stream with Sling TV
Backed by Dish Network, Sling TV allows subscribers to stream over 20 popular cable channels, including ESPN and ESPN2, on their TV, streaming device, phone, tablet, or PC using their internet connection. Additionally, you also get other great channels such as TNT, TBS, AMC, Food Network, HGTV, and more. Here’s the kicker — Sling TV is just $20 per month and there’s no contract required, so you can cancel any time you want.Sling TV offers a free 7-day trial for those who want to test out their service, but because Wimbledon runs for two weeks, the free trial won’t last long enough to allow you to watch the entire tournament. That’s why I recommend taking advantage of the limited-time deal Sling is running right now that let’s you get a free Roku 2 streaming playerwhen you sign up for three months of service. Roku devices are excellent and will allow you to easily watch Wimbledon live streaming on your TV.
Use PlayStation Vue to Watch Wimbledon 2016 Live Streaming
PlayStation Vue provides another simple way to access Wimbledon live stream during the 2016 tournament. This service offers 55+ channels to its subscribers, for just $29.99 a month. There’s no contract to sign, no hidden fees, and no nonsense – just awesome live TV!
Vue’s package of channels includes both ESPN and ESPN2, so you’ll be able to watch Wimbledon online throughout the entire tournament. You can watch live, just like if you had cable TV. Select content will also be available on-demand.
As for devices, you can use PlayStation Vue to catch the Wimbledon live stream on Chromecast, Roku, Amazon Fire TV, PS3/PS4, or iPad. Note that, while you can use your iPad to watch, mobile viewing outside your home is restricted. Read details in our PlayStation Vue review.

Watch Wimbledon Online from Outside the US Using a VPN
If you don’t live in the US, you won’t be able to use Sling TV or PlayStation Vue to access Wimbledon streaming. However, there are other options available. If you live in the UK, you’ll be able to stream Wimbledon on the BBC iPlayer app. Don’t live in the UK? That’s okay, you still have options. What you can do is use a VPN to mask or change your IP address to a UK IP address so that you can still watch Wimbledon online with the BBC iPlayer.
