As any good cord cutter knows, freeing yourself from the clutches of the cable companies is enticing, but it is only as good as the alternatives. Many cord cutters are turning to video streaming services like Netflix, Amazon and Hulu to get their entertainment fix, but there are many other services cropping up, hoping to get your attention. Today, we’ll explore a new service in our YipTV review.
One such service is YipTV, which boasts an attractive freemium subscription model and unique live channels. With the market becoming increasingly saturated with streaming services, it is getting harder for the cord cutter to separate the wheat from the chaff. So is YipTV worth your time (and money)? Read on for our YipTV review, which includes details of the YipTV channel list and the impact it will have on your wallet.
YipTV Review: What is YipTV?
YipTV is yet another Internet based video streaming service, specializing in live television channels. The YipTV channel list is growing everyday, and at the time of this writing, they are offering up over 100 live television channels that run the gamut from sport to news to entertainment. YipTV has a little something for everyone, including a strong international focus and a lot of content geared toward Spanish speakers.
What Is the YipTV Channel List?
In total, more than 100 channels are offered – far too many to list here! Some highlights include BeIN Sports, Fight Network, Bloomberg, EuroNews, and much more.
In addition to having a wide variety of live content to choose from, one of the best things about YipTV is the fact that they offer beIN Sports and a number of other international sports channels, which is a godsend if you’re a soccer fan.

How Much Does YipTV Cost?
YipTV offers two plans, a free membership and a premium membership. Below is a breakdown of what you’re going to get with each option.
Free Membership: once you register with YipTV, you’ll automatically have access to 18 channels, free of charge. You’ll also be treated to 9 free bonus channels, which are normally only available to premium members, for the first seven days. Free membership also allows you to watch YipTV on two devices simultaneously.
Premium Membership: the premium service entitles users to all 100+ channels YipTV has to offer, including News channels from around the world like Bloomberg TV, children’s networks, beIN SPORTS, and many others. A premium membership also allows you to stream to up to five devices at once! Membership is only $1(!) for the first month, and $14.99 per month afterward. In addition to a low price point, YipTV does not require a contract, meaning that the premium service can be cancelled at any time.
As you can see, the YipTV cost is quite reasonable. We think it’s great that they offer both a free and a paid membership.
Which Devices is YipTV Available On?
As a standalone app, YipTV is available on virtually anything that connects to the Internet, including your PC, TV, tablet, phone, Chromecast and AppleTV. Those of you who are T-Mobile customers will be pleased to learn that YipTV is part of T-Mobile’s BingeOn program, which will allow you to watch as much YipTV as you like without eating into your monthly data!
Is There a YipTV Free Trial?
YipTV offers a completely free membership, although channel selection is limited. For the premium membership, there is currently no free trial, although you can get the first month for just $1!
YipTV offers a lot of eclectic content, some of which simply isn’t available anywhere else. The YipTV channel list is loaded with international programming, and has a ton of Spanish language content. YipTV is widely available on most devices, and T-Mobile customers will be happy to know that they can stream all day without worrying about their data.
YipTV is an attractive choice for cord cutters as they offer a free membership with a decent amount of content for the low price of nothing, so there is really no reason not to try it out. If you are happy with the free offerings, you can upgrade to a premium membership to access all YipTV has to offer for only $1. The best part is, you can opt out of their premium service at any time, so there’s little risk involved.
We hope you’ve enjoyed our YipTV review. Have you tried YipTV yet? Have further questions? Let us know in the comments!
